Travel

Travel has been an important source of inspiration. I learnt early on to appreciate travelling slowly: watching landscapes and cultures change along the way. It lets you see more than individual places, and notice how much we all have in common.

Over the years, there have been many shorter trips on foot and skis, and a few longer ones: sailing along the Norwegian coast, cycling through Africa and driving across Central Asia.

These journeys have helped shape who I am. They’re also reflected in my K— logo: the line stands for the horizon and being on the move.
